Topic: Sewing Common Seam

From this lecture, Mr. Riza introduced the types of seam to us, such as straight stitch, staystitch /edgestitch, topstitch, welt seam and french seam. A seam is a term that refers to a stitching line when two fabrics are stitched together. The stitching line along the seam is called the seam line. Then, he showed and guided us to sew the common seam by using a sewing machine.

Here is my sewing result:

1) STRAIGHT STITCH

5) FRENCH SEAM

FINAL RESULT:

I think this exercise is quite interesting. This is my first time sewing by using a sewing machine.

It is a bit hard to sew a straight line because I sew a curve line when I sew the edgestitch, but my second sewing is better. I think I should practice more as practice make perfect.
