Assignment 02: Pattern Maker Making

-Week 5~Week 9-
(29.9.2022~27.10.2022)
Introduction to Pattern Technology
---------------------------------------------------------
Topic: Pattern Making by using Modaris and Diamino (Maker Manager&Marker Making) Software
Description:
Based on the first assessment task result, students are required to produce 3D garment sampling by using Modaris and Diamino software. This task will allow students to understand the process from creating a pattern in Modaris and calculate their fabric estimation in Diamino. In Diamino software, students are required to arrange the pattern layout to reduce the fabric consumption. Students should be able to generate marker making to analyse pattern maker efficiency. Students also will be tasked to plot the final working pattern piece with JustPrint. At the end of this task, students will assemble the pattern in producing 3D garment sampling.

-Week 5-
Our lecturer showed us they steps to use Diamino software. After finish the pattern in Modaris, open Maker Manager.
Set your own access path

Then, go to Contraints, click material menu and enter the name (zero/90/180 degree).
Set the Material constraints and save.

After that, go to Marker, enter name (same as the file name of your pattern), fabric width, presentation choose single ply, constrain and spacing between pieces 30mm.
Then add variant (blue shirt icon) to select your modaris.mdl file and size to create marker.
Set marker

Then, launch Maker Making. Arrange all the pattern, tap 5 to rotate the pattern.

Next, go to Justprint to add marker for printing and marker checking.

-Week 5~Week 7-
We draft our first design's pattern by using Modaris software.
Drafting process by using Modaris software:
